We’ve been around since 1928, which makes us one of the longest-serving financial institutions in New Zealand. We were set up to help New Zealanders get ahead and that’s what we’ve been doing for over eighty years. On the legal side, PSIS is registered under both the Companies Act 1993 and the Co-operative Companies Act 1996. PSIS is a member of the New Zealand Financial Services Federation (Inc), the New Zealand Co-operatives Association (Inc) and the New Zealand Savings Institutions Association.
PSIS is not a registered bank, but a very co-operative co-operative.
Interest rates are subject to change. All deposits are secured by First Ranking Stock and rank equally with all existing deposits with PSIS Limited.
